Scott Hooper Biography

Scott is the host of WBACH's weekday morning show, "Breakfast With Bach." His 36-year career in radio has seen Scott working in a variety of formats at a number of radio stations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. Shortly after Maine’s first WBACH station came on the air in 1991, Scott began his association with the station as a programming consultant while serving as Operations Manager for a Massachusetts-based classical station. He joined WBACH full-time in 1994, and hosted our first "Breakfast With Bach" broadcast on October 30, 1995.

Scott holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University’s College of Communication and served for several years as an assistant organist in his birthplace of Salem, Massachusetts.

Outside of the station, Scott is a veteran volunteer motorman and instructor at the
Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport. In that capacity he has appeared on CNN, the NBC “Today” show, and in Down East Magazine. The Trolley Museum is where he met his wife Amy, also a volunteer there.  Amy and Scott are also volunteers with the Animal Welfare Society in West Kennebunk, and have a "tribe" of adopted cats -  Nigel, Zoe, Benji, Maggie, Sparky, Winston, Buster, Myra, Tabitha and Olivia  - to prove it. The cats permit Scott and Amy to share their Arundel home.
